In their own words
Lenso.ai
Lenso.ai is an AI reverse image search service that finds people, places, duplicates, related images, and similar images from an uploaded picture. Users can refine searches with text keywords or a website domain, save results to collections, and receive email alerts for new matches. Results include source URLs, but the free account allows daily searches without letting users unlock results or view their sources. Starter includes 50 source-link unlocks and 10 alerts; Professional adds Research Mode, advanced filters, and DMCA Assist Mode. Research Mode can show up to 10,000 results for People and Duplicates. The Developer plan lists Face Search and Reverse Image Search APIs, with up to 5,000 API calls. Face search is available only in selected regions; Face Search API users must live in an eligible region and sign an agreement. Lenso.ai says uploaded images are not saved or shared and are not used for AI training. Paid plans are listed from $19.99/mo. The maker also says shared search links remain active for up to six hours after the last interaction.
trace.moe
trace.moe searches anime scenes from screenshots and can identify a title, episode, and timestamp, then show a short preview to help confirm a match. It is for finding a scene rather than watching anime; access to the original video is limited to a few seconds. The search compares image colors and patterns using content-based retrieval, so it is designed for close matches rather than heavily altered screenshots. Crops, flips, rotations, strong filters, dark scenes, large text, and low-detail images can cause searches to fail; the FAQ recommends images at least 320×180 pixels. Its index covers officially published TV, web, DVD, and Blu-ray anime, with most Japanese anime since 2000 represented, though coverage is incomplete for some series. The service is available on the web, through an API, and as official screenshot-search extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Opera. Other official tools include a Telegram bot and an MCP server. Uploaded search images are deleted immediately according to the terms. The free service has no ads and is funded by donations; GitHub Sponsors plans offer daily API quotas and varying search priority.
