Leo

Leo is an enterprise platform for health sciences education, combining course management, curriculum mapping, assessment, evaluations, patient encounter logs, lotteries, faculty effort tracking, and student Academic Portraits. Its curriculum tools connect didactic and clinical sessions, course themes, and diagnoses and procedures in encounter logs with program objectives and competencies. Assessment and evaluation options include clinical and formative assessments, peer evaluations, self-reflection, and scheduled or on-demand evaluations of courses, students, and faculty. The Academic Portrait offers a longitudinal view of student performance, including courses, grades, attendance, evaluations, notes, portfolios, and custom demographics. Users receive personal calendars and can subscribe to iCal feeds for updates. Leo integrates with LDAP and SAML single sign-on, LTI, video and lecture-capture tools, and automated SIS feeds from Banner, PeopleSoft, PowerCampus, and Ellucian Colleague. It runs in a browser on current Windows, Mac, or Linux desktop systems and has responsive tablet design. DaVinci says Leo is hosted in AWS and SOC 2 Type II compliant. Pricing is on request; modules are not licensed separately under its single Enterprise license.
