In their own words
Lernoa
Lernoa is a study application for turning documents or topics into structured courses and for building, importing, and studying flashcard decks. Upload a PDF or DOCX, or enter a topic, and it can create chapters, quizzes, and a final exam. AI features include summaries, flashcards, quizzes, and narrated audio with read-along highlighting. Course and document chat answers are based on the supplied material and include source citations, within a small daily question allowance. Review uses an Anki-style SM-2 scheduler and retires cards recalled reliably over long intervals. Anki and CSV decks can be imported, decks exported as CSV, and courses moved in Markdown or text formats. Lernoa connects to Claude, ChatGPT, and other Model Context Protocol assistants; generation uses credits. The first chapter of each course is free, while later chapters cost one credit each. It runs on Android, iOS, and the web, with a free plan and no free trial.
Nibomo
Nibomo is a flashcard study app for web, iOS, and Android. Its FSRS spaced-repetition system schedules difficult cards sooner and familiar cards later, while AI can help create cards, improve their wording, and clarify answers. Studying on mobile works offline and syncs automatically. Users can import and export cards, tags, and related media, and AI agents can connect through MCP or the Agent API; the MCP server works with Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. The hosted app is free during beta, with no credit card requirement, trial countdown, or plan-based quotas on cards, files, or total storage, though technical limits still apply. AI features and sync are included during beta, but higher AI usage may later require a provider API key or paid option. The open-source stack can be self-hosted on AWS, with infrastructure and third-party provider costs paid by the operator. Hosted sign-in uses a one-time email code rather than a password. Nibomo is built by Kirill Markin and operated by SAMO DANNI EOOD in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
