Via Student Transit is school transportation software for coordinating routes, buses, caregivers, drivers, student status, and reporting. Its routing system uses student information and historical traffic patterns to propose routes, stops, and times while considering student and regulatory requirements. Staff can override those proposals. The School Operations Console shows live information about students and buses, supports service changes, and helps communicate with staff and caregivers. Parents can use the Caregiver App for bus GPS data, change notifications, absence notices, and address updates; SMS updates are available without a smartphone. QR-coded boarding passes provide student-status visibility. Drivers receive turn-by-turn directions, student notes, and manifests that update for unplanned changes. The Reporting Suite generates, filters, aggregates, and downloads reports in required formats. The modular platform can integrate with existing customer tools. It runs on Android, iOS, and web.
