In their own words
Listek
Listek is a free grocery-list app for iOS and Android that groups products into supermarket categories and adds shopping insights. Shared lists can be edited in real time across iPhone and Android, and separate lists can be kept for different stores. The app can review a full list with a Nutri-Score, an AI summary and suggested food swaps. Users can set goals such as weight management, higher protein, reduced sugar or lower-carb eating. Allergy and sensitivity filters can flag products for closer attention, but they do not scan exact packaging or detect cross-contamination; warnings and AI guidance may be incomplete or inaccurate and are not medical advice. Listek also offers weekly and three-month shopping insights, a daily recipe suggestion based on recent shopping, saved frequently used items, loyalty-card storage and non-food checklists. It does not map items to a store’s physical aisles. The app is free to download, with grocery-list creation and organisation included; additional features may be available in the app.
mitlist
mitlist is a shared household organizer for people who live together, bringing shared lists, rotating chores, expenses and settlements, recipes, meal plans, a pinwall, and a calendar into one service. Household members can update shopping lists in real time, claim items, track prices, and sort a shopping trip around the store. Expenses can be divided equally, by shares, percentages, or exact amounts. Users can save recipes, plan a week, change servings, and add ingredients to a shopping list. During public beta, iOS and Android users can scan printed or handwritten grocery lists, with recognition and grocery matching running on the device. mitlist caches household information and queues many edits when a connection drops, though offline coverage is still being improved. It is available on Android, iOS, and the web, and can be self-hosted with PostgreSQL and an S3-compatible object store. The free plan includes all features for up to four household members. Premium costs €3.99 a month or €29.99 a year for one household of five or more members.
