| Purpose | LivePortrait animates a portrait from a still image using facial expressions and head pose from a driving video, audio, text, or generated motion. | Stable Video Diffusion is a model for generating video based on Stable Diffusion. |
| Support | The maintainers invite bug reports and suggestions through repository issues and pull requests and provide a contact email for project inquiries. | The self-hosting instructions say users can create a support ticket for help setting up the model. |

In their own words
LivePortrait
LivePortrait creates portrait video from a single image, using motion from video, audio, text, or generation. It also supports editing portrait video using a source video and a driving video. Stitching and eye and lip retargeting controls provide ways to adjust animation. The project supplies inference code, pretrained models, and a Gradio interface for local use, as well as a demo hosted on Hugging Face Spaces. Its PyTorch implementation is released under the MIT License, and the project reports generation speed of 12.8 ms on an RTX 4090 GPU with PyTorch. Human-mode instructions cover Linux, Windows, and Apple Silicon macOS; Intel macOS is untested. Animal models can animate cats, dogs, and pandas using human-driven motion, but animal mode is tested only on Linux and Windows with an NVIDIA GPU and is unsupported on macOS. Local setup requires git, conda, FFmpeg, Python 3.10, and downloaded pretrained weights. Commercial users must replace the included InsightFace detection models. Maintainers warn of possible deepfake misuse and visual artifacts.
Stable Video Diffusion
Stable Video Diffusion is a model for generating video from Stable Diffusion. It supports text-to-video and image-to-video generation, including image-based animation. The product page describes outputs of 14 or 25 frames at customizable rates from 3 to 30 frames per second, with video creation stated as taking two minutes or less. Listed model versions include 14-frame, 25-frame, and 1.1 variants. Stability AI provides self-hosting instructions that involve downloading model weights and running the reference implementation locally or on your own infrastructure. Hosted API endpoints were deprecated on July 24, 2025, and API access is unavailable. Stability AI says its foundation models are available on Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker JumpStart. The Community License is listed at free for users below $1M in annual revenue, subject to model-specific terms. Businesses above that threshold are directed to Enterprise licensing with custom pricing.
