In their own words
LoadView
LoadView provides cloud-based load testing for websites, web applications and APIs, with tests running in real browsers such as Chrome and Firefox. Its EveryStep Web Recorder supports point-and-click script creation across more than 40 desktop and mobile browsers and devices. Traffic scenarios can use Load Step, Goal-based or Dynamic Adjustable curves. Load injectors operate in more than 40 zones across the United States, Canada, South America, Europe and APAC. Real-time reports show execution plans, average response times and errors, while waterfall charts break down page elements. The product describes CI/CD integrations for Azure DevOps, Jenkins and CircleCI. For private-network tests, its On-Prem Load Injector creates load inside an organization’s network and sends results to LoadView for online reporting; the organization controls the local hardware, software, configurations and security measures. A free On-Demand plan is available for single tests, while paid plans target teams with ongoing testing needs. The pricing note says From $129/mo (annual). Individual tests have a four-hour maximum, and support is available 24/7 by phone, email or chat.
Vegeta
Vegeta is a free, open-source HTTP load-testing tool and Go library that sends requests at a constant rate. Its command-line interface is built for UNIX-style composition, while the library offers use from Go programs. The project states that its load measurements avoid coordinated omission and that distributed testing is supported. Reports can be written as text, JSON, histograms, or HDR plots, and results can also be encoded as CSV, Gob, or JSON. The attack command can expose an optional Prometheus exporter. HTTP/2 works when supported by the server, including HTTP/2 over TCP without TLS. TLS options include client certificates and keys, custom root certificates, and ignoring invalid server certificates. The documented request timeout defaults to 30 seconds, with zero disabling timeouts. Prebuilt binaries, package-manager installs, distribution packages, and source builds are documented for Linux, macOS, Windows, API use, and self-hosting. The repository uses the MIT license.
