Overview

Shipday brings dispatchers, drivers, and customers into the same delivery workflow: teams manage dispatch, drivers receive routes and order updates in a mobile app, and customers can follow deliveries and receive notifications. Photo and signature proof of delivery adds a record of completion. That makes it more compelling for businesses managing the delivery through to handoff than for teams seeking route planning alone.

The service supports both in-house drivers and built-in access to third-party delivery services, with more than 100 integrated partners. Shipday also describes AI features for review automation, coaching, calls, dispatch, reports, and customer chat. The breadth is appealing, but the entry price should not be read as the price of every capability: API and webhook access, for example, comes with Professional.

Key features

Dispatch and delivery visibility

Dispatch management, live tracking, and customer notifications address the core coordination problem: knowing where an order is and keeping its recipient informed. Drivers use the mobile app for order information, routes, updates, chat, and proof of delivery. Businesses that need a traceable delivery handoff will get more from this combination than those looking only to save route-planning time.

Routing and integrations

Shipday says its advanced route planning can deliver up to 30% faster. Treat that as a company claim rather than an assured outcome for every operation. More than 100 integrated partners and support for third-party delivery alongside in-house drivers may help teams working across different delivery arrangements. API and webhook access is reserved for the $39 Professional plan, a meaningful constraint for teams that need to connect their own systems.

Support

Support channels include phone, email, online chat, and in-app chat. Phone support hours are 9 am to 6 pm PST, Monday through Saturday, which gives teams a direct channel during those hours but not a stated round-the-clock phone option.

Pricing

Shipday has a free plan, paid plans starting at $19 USD per month, and a 14-day trial of the full platform without a credit card. The listed monthly plan prices are:

Basic: $0.00 USD per free, forever. It includes up to 300 orders per month, 10 driver accounts, and one dispatch account. This is a sensible starting point for a small operation that can stay within those caps; the single dispatch account and order ceiling leave little room for a growing team.
Professional Lite: $19.00 USD per month, with 300 orders included and $0.04 per additional order. It allows 15 driver accounts, five dispatch/staff accounts, and five admin users. The order count has no stated hard limit, but variable overage charges mean busy months cost more than the base price.
Professional: $39.00 USD per month, with 300 orders included and $0.04 per additional order. It includes unlimited driver accounts and paid orders, up to five users, and API and webhook access. It suits businesses needing integrations or a larger driver pool, though the five-user cap can constrain office-side access.
Branded Premium: $39.00 USD per month, with 300 orders included, $0.04 per additional order, and up to 15 users. It may suit a team that needs more user accounts than Professional's five, but the stated terms do not identify a separate included order ceiling beyond the 300 included orders.
Elite: $99.00 USD per month, with 300 orders per month and $0.20 per additional order. Its higher overage rate makes order volume especially important to budget before choosing this tier.
Business AI: $349.00 USD per month, with 1,000 orders included and $0.25 per additional order. This is the clearly higher-priced option for a business considering Shipday's AI capabilities; the stated order allowance and overage rate warrant close attention.
Enterprise: Starts at $2,499/month. It is aimed at multi-location delivery operations and includes enterprise security, the full AI Agents suite, and a dedicated team. Its custom pricing makes it a different proposition from the fixed monthly tiers.

The 14-day trial offers a way to assess the full platform before committing. For ongoing use, compare expected monthly order volume and the relevant user or driver limit with the plan price: the $19 starting point is not a flat unlimited-order fee.

Platforms

Shipday is available on web, phone, and tablet, and its listed platform support includes web and API. Drivers use a mobile app; driver app availability is listed for both major mobile platforms. This mix suits teams that dispatch from a browser and drivers who need mobile access while on route.

Who it's for

Shipday is best suited to delivery businesses that need dispatch and customer tracking alongside mobile driver workflows, particularly those combining their own drivers with third-party delivery services. Smaller teams can start on Basic, while operations that need API or webhook integration should budget for Professional. It is a weaker fit for businesses that need predictable costs regardless of order volume or require more than five users on Professional without moving to another tier.

Pros and cons

Pro: Dispatch, live tracking, notifications, and photo-or-signature proof of delivery cover the workflow from assignment to handoff.
Pro: The free plan supports up to 300 orders monthly and 10 driver accounts, giving small operations a usable starting tier.
Pro: In-house and third-party delivery support, plus more than 100 integrated partners, accommodate mixed delivery operations.
Con: Paid order overages can materially change the monthly bill; Professional Lite and Professional charge $0.04 per order beyond the 300 included.
Con: Professional's API and webhook access comes with a five-user cap, which may be restrictive for a larger dispatch or office team.
Con: Higher tiers have substantial monthly prices and, in some cases, notable per-order overages, so the $19 starting price is not a reliable cost estimate for every operation.

Alternatives

Routific is worth considering when a smaller operation prioritizes route planning and can work within 100 monthly orders: its free plan includes all features except SMS notifications.

Route4Me is a simpler option when the immediate need is route planning with a low-cost monthly plan: its free tier is limited to 10 stops, while its $9.99 monthly plan offers unlimited stops.

Locus Last-Mile Delivery Software is an alternative for enterprise deployments with custom pricing based on platform scope, volume, and constraint complexity.

Onro is another delivery-management option to compare if its demo and plan terms suit your operation.

MileApp is an alternative for teams whose task, vehicle, and automation allowances fit its free plan.

Fleetbase may suit teams seeking a cloud or self-hosted fleet option; its Fleetbase Cloud plan is $29.00 USD per month with unlimited orders and users.

MaxOptra is an alternative to consider for a small fleet, with a package for fewer than five vehicles.

EasyRoutes is worth comparing for Shopify-only operations that can work within its free plan's 50 monthly orders, single driver, and limit of 10 orders at once.

Verdict

Shipday is a strong choice for delivery businesses that need dispatch, driver coordination, and customer visibility across in-house and third-party deliveries. Its free tier gives a small operation a practical entry point, while Professional adds API and webhook access at $39.00 USD per month. Look elsewhere if order overages make costs hard to forecast or if your team needs more users than the selected plan allows.
