Overview

Logi Options+ is Logitech’s configuration app for supported mice, keyboards, and other peripherals. It suits people building a Logitech-centered setup who want device controls, app-specific actions, and workflows across computers in one place. Its breadth is useful, but several features depend on particular MX devices and operating-system versions.

For supported hardware, the combination of customization, automation, and Flow makes this a capable free companion. It is a poor fit for users who need one utility to configure peripherals from multiple makers.

Key features

Customize devices and apps

Options+ adjusts pointer and scrolling speed, scrolling direction, sensitivity, and polling rate; it also supports macros, per-app profiles, and gestures assigned to mouse buttons or touchpads. That range covers routine pointer tuning as well as more tailored navigation and media controls. Presets or custom actions are available for apps including Chrome, Edge, Safari, Zoom, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Teams.

Smart Actions combine multiple tasks behind one click or keystroke, a practical shortcut for repeated sequences. Actions Ring puts customizable tools in an on-screen overlay at the cursor, and the Marketplace offers plugins, profiles, and icon packs. Both are available with MX devices except MX Webcam and MX Ink, so they should not drive a purchase without checking the device’s eligibility. Haptic feedback for specific actions is currently limited to MX Master 4.

Work across devices

Flow controls multiple computers and operating systems and transfers text, images, and files between them. For people who routinely work across machines, that can reduce the friction of moving between separate setups. Supported keyboards can also use Easy-Switch to move among as many as three devices with one key press.

For presentations, mouse Spotlight Effects provide Highlight, Magnify, and Digital Laser pointing effects. These are useful when drawing attention to screen content, but they are a narrower benefit than the everyday device and app controls.

Administration and privacy

Organizations can silently deploy Options+ remotely with SCCM, Intune, and Jamf. Administrators can configure analytics, Flow, SSO, and automatic updates, and disable features with specified command-line parameters. Logitech describes its security protocols as guided by NIST 800-53 and ISO/IEC 27001:2013; data in transit uses HTTPS with TLS 1.2 or above, while local and AWS S3 server data are encrypted. With consent, the app may collect usage and diagnostic data, but not data entered using mice, keyboards, or touchpads.

Pricing

Logi Options+ is free: the plan is free for supported Logitech devices. There is no paid tier to weigh against a cheaper option, and no trial or renewal decision to manage. The cost advantage is specific to compatible Logitech hardware; this is not a general peripheral configuration utility.

Platforms

Options+ runs on Windows 10 or later and macOS 14 or later. It supports Logitech mice, keyboards, lights, webcams, touchpads, presentation remotes, and MX Creative Console. Check both the operating-system minimum and the device-specific feature limits before relying on a particular function.

Who it's for

Choose Options+ if your setup uses supported Logitech devices and you want fine-grained input controls, app-specific actions, or Flow between computers. It is especially relevant to users who benefit from Smart Actions or from switching among computers with a supported keyboard. Look elsewhere if your peripherals come from several manufacturers or if a particular MX-only tool is essential but your device is not eligible.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad controls include pointer and scroll tuning, gestures, macros, polling rate, and per-app profiles, so everyday settings and specialized input behavior sit together.
Pros: Flow transfers text, images, and files between computers, while Smart Actions can reduce repeated multi-step work.
Pros: Remote deployment and configurable feature controls support managed business installations.
Cons: Feature access varies by device: Actions Ring and Marketplace exclude MX Webcam and MX Ink, while haptics currently require MX Master 4.
Cons: The Windows and macOS minimum versions rule out older systems, and the app is limited to supported Logitech hardware.

Glorious CORE is free for configuring Glorious products; most products are supported, while cloud profile saving requires a Glorious ID.

Verdict

Logi Options+ is the right pick for Logitech users who want device-level control plus automation and cross-computer workflows without a software fee. Its main reason to choose it is the breadth of controls and Flow in one application; its main reason to look elsewhere is that its hardware and feature coverage is not universal.
