Overview

LootAtlas is a game-map and community reference service for players who want to find collectibles, plan routes and keep game information together. It is best suited to players whose games appear in its available catalog and who value shared guides alongside their own progress tracking. Its maps and databases make it more than a location checklist, though catalog coverage should decide whether it fits your game.

Key features

Maps and planning

Interactive maps include points of interest and secret locations, with custom markers and found-item tracking for keeping tabs on discoveries. Route planning is useful when a run has a deliberate path; players can also draw routes and ambush points and share those drawings with friends in real time. That gives LootAtlas a coordination role for groups, not just a reference role for solo exploration.

Community and game reference

Players can create and share custom maps, guides, images and videos linked to locations. Guides can combine text, images and YouTube videos, while Q&A and comments support discussion around specific places. The game database covers items, recipes, traders and quests, including quest objectives and rewards, so players can consult progression information alongside the map.

XP for pins, quests and streaks, plus credits for leaderboard positions, add a participation incentive. Those systems may appeal to players who enjoy tracking activity, but they are secondary to the practical value of the maps and community content.

Pricing

The LootAtlas plan is free. The App Store lists the app as Free, and LootAtlas invites one-off contributions starting at $1 while saying there is no subscription. That makes it a straightforward option for players who want maps and community features without a recurring charge; contributions are optional support rather than a stated paid tier.

Platforms

LootAtlas is available on web, Android and iOS, so players can use a browser or a mobile app. App Store version history says sign-in supports Steam, Epic Games and Discord. The developer says personal-data processing follows GDPR and applicable country-specific privacy regulations, while noting that internet transmissions can have security gaps and absolute protection cannot be guaranteed.

Who it's for

LootAtlas suits players who want route planning, custom community material and a game database in one place, especially those coordinating routes or ambush points with friends. It is less suitable as a default choice for a game that is not available in the directory: the catalog separates available games from highlights and coming soon entries. The games page states 27 games and 189 maps, with 23 games marked available and four highlights, so check the status of your specific game first.

Pros and cons

Pros: Routes, custom markers and found-item tracking support both planning and progress records.
Pros: Location-linked guides and databases spanning items, recipes, traders and quests make the service useful beyond map browsing.
Pros: Web, Android and iOS access, with no subscription price stated and optional one-off contributions.
Cons: Catalog size does not guarantee that a particular game is available; some entries are highlights or coming soon.
Cons: Community-created content is central to its breadth, so the usefulness of guides and maps depends on contributions for the game you play.

Alternatives

Gamer Guides Interactive Maps may suit iOS and web users who want maps, guides and databases with bookmarks and discussion; its free plan caps maps at 50 markers each. Choose The Forest Map Companion for Android, iOS or web access to interactive maps and guides when The Forest is your focus. Tarkov Navigator is a web alternative for players looking for a Tarkov-focused map tool. ClearedMap suits web users who want every map and marker, unlimited checklists, notes and drawings without an account on its free plan. MapGenie is another freemium option on Android, iOS and web. For a free, web-based option, consider Gamepressure Interactive Maps.

Verdict

Choose LootAtlas if your game is available and you want maps, community guides, shared route planning and game databases without a subscription. Its strongest reason to choose is the combination of location-based community content and collaborative map drawings; look elsewhere if your game is not available or you need a map service centered on a specific title.
