Overview

Loyverse brings sales, inventory, employees and customers into a set of mobile POS apps. Restaurant tickets can be assigned to tables, adjusted as service changes and routed to kitchen displays or printers. The free plan also includes loyalty, customer and kitchen displays, multi-store management and integrations, making it a substantial starting package for a small operator.

The main trade-off is that the free analytics window covers only the last 31 days. Reports beyond that require an add-on, and dedicated employee-management and advanced-inventory options also add cost. The POS is a stronger fit for operators comfortable with this modular approach than for businesses seeking every reporting and back-office capability in one included plan.

Key features

Table service and menus

Open tickets can be assigned to tables, split, merged or moved between tickets. Custom menu categories and item modifiers let restaurants represent their menu, while dine-in, takeout and delivery labels distinguish order types. These functions address common service changes without making the POS a full substitute for a separately defined online ordering system.

Kitchen workflow

Orders can be sent to kitchen displays or printers with item details, quantities, modifiers and comments. Keeping preparation instructions with the order is useful when customers customize dishes; it also gives kitchen staff a clearer ticket than an item-only handoff.

Inventory, loyalty and integrations

Inventory tools include purchase orders, composite items for prepared goods and ingredients, transfers between locations, stock counts and corrections. That is a useful range for tracking restaurant stock, although purchase orders and stock transfers are part of the paid Advanced inventory option rather than the free plan's essential inventory.

Points-based loyalty and customer notes support repeat-visit rewards and recording preferences. Integrations include QuickBooks Online, Xero, WooCommerce, Shopify and Otter for online and delivery orders. The API supports connections for sales analytics, accounting, orders, items and inventory, customers, and e-invoicing, giving businesses room to connect data to other systems. Loyverse says support is available 24/7 via live chat, with help articles also available. Loyverse Payments describes its transaction processing as using PCI-compliant infrastructure.

Pricing

Loyverse uses a freemium model, with a free plan and a 14-day trial. The Free plan is free and includes POS, reports for the last 31 days, essential inventory, loyalty, customer and kitchen displays, multi-store management and integrations. It is a credible way for a small restaurant to start, but the report cutoff is consequential: viewing and exporting older reports requires Unlimited sales history.

Unlimited sales history costs 5.00 USD per month, billed at $5/month per store or $50/year per store. It is the most targeted upgrade for businesses that need to review or export sales reports older than 31 days.

Employee management costs 25.00 USD per month, billed at $25/month per store or $250/year per store, and adds team performance, permissions and hours worked. It suits operators who need those staff controls; those costs may be hard to justify for a small team that does not need them.

Advanced inventory costs 25.00 USD per month, billed at $25/month per store or $250/year per store, and adds purchase orders, stock transfers and deeper inventory insights. It is the relevant step up for restaurants managing purchasing or stock across locations.

Platforms

Loyverse lists Android, iOS, web and API platforms, with offline mode.

Who it's for

Loyverse is aimed at small businesses and is a practical match for small restaurants needing table tickets, kitchen routing, basic inventory and loyalty without an initial subscription. Multi-store management is included in the free plan, while the per-store billing on add-ons makes the cost of expanded reporting, staffing and inventory rise with each location. Restaurants that rely on older sales reporting or need the paid staff and purchasing tools should factor those charges into the decision.

Pros and cons

Pros: The free plan includes POS, loyalty, integrations and multi-store management, so the core package extends beyond basic checkout.
Pros: Tickets can be changed across tables and routed with modifiers and comments, supporting restaurant service through kitchen preparation.
Pros: An API covers sales, orders, inventory and customer data, which gives businesses a route to connect other systems.
Cons: Free reports stop at 31 days; reviewing or exporting older periods requires a paid add-on.
Cons: Employee-management and advanced-inventory capabilities each cost $25/month per store, adding up for businesses that need both.

Alternatives

Imonggo is worth considering for a smaller operation that can work within its free plan's one user, one branch, 30 products and 300 invoices per month; Loyverse offers restaurant-specific table and kitchen workflows in its free plan.

Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service is a paid option with no public price and a demo-request route, for readers comparing against a vendor-led POS choice. Cegid Retail is another paid option with pricing not listed and a demo request.

GoFrugal Retail has paid plans with no listed prices and a retail ERP starting price of 75; choose it for a retail-oriented comparison rather than Loyverse's restaurant ticket and kitchen workflow. Erply is a paid alternative with a Growth Plan at 1000.00 USD per month, billed monthly, for readers considering a substantially higher-priced plan with three stores, 100,000 queries per month, unlimited users and 2,000 AI actions per month.

RetailPOS is free and open source, with no monthly fees and self-hosting under Apache 2.0; it is the alternative to weigh when those terms matter more than Loyverse's described restaurant workflow. Biyo POS offers a free plan with processing fees for US businesses and a Standard plan at 47.00 USD per month. NCR Voyix POS is a paid option for grocery, convenience and fuel, department and specialty retail, with pricing by request.

Verdict

Choose Loyverse if you run a small restaurant and want a free POS that combines table tickets, kitchen routing, essential inventory and loyalty, with integrations and API access as the business grows. Look elsewhere if access to older reports or advanced staff and inventory tools must be included rather than added at a per-store price.
