In their own words
Lucida AI
Lucida AI is a mobile speaking coach for practicing conversations with an AI tutor called Lucy. It teaches English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Arabic, and gives feedback in the learner’s native language. During sessions, it provides live feedback on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, pace and filler words. Role-play options include meetings, presentations, job interviews and small talk. Sessions adapt to the learner’s level, goals and interests, with CEFR-aligned speaking scores tracked over time. The app is available on Android and iOS. Its free download is listed at free; some features require a subscription, with the price shown in the app before payment. Sessions need a phone, microphone and internet connection, so Lucida does not work offline. Lucida for Business supports employee language training with team dashboards, CEFR distribution and per-employee assessments. The company also describes encryption, a closed language model and optional on-premises hosting for business recordings.
