In their own words

Macro Recorder

Macro Recorder records mouse and keyboard actions on Windows or Mac and replays them to repeat desktop procedures. Each recording appears as editable actions that can be adjusted or rearranged, and macros can also be assembled step by step. SmartClick searches for visual context around a captured click target during playback and clicks when it finds a match. The software supports screen image capture, OCR text capture, and barcode or QR code extraction into variables. Optional cloud and self-hosted AI integrations include OpenAI and local models such as Llama and DeepSeek; AI is disabled by default. The maker says the software runs locally, apart from optional update checks and one-time license activation. Freeware is limited to personal use: organizational use and paid-edition features require a license, and financially beneficial use requires purchase after 30 days. Paid licenses are one-time purchases with no recurring payment and apply to versions released during the maintenance term. One license covers either one Mac or one Windows user, not simultaneous use on both computers. Linux is not planned at this time.

Make

Make is a visual platform for integrating apps and automating workflows. Its no-code builder uses drag-and-drop modules, and automations can also be created in code or from a prompt. Scenarios support conditional flow control, data manipulation, HTTP requests, webhooks, notes, and analytics. Make lists more than 3,000 pre-built apps and integrations, along with custom apps and connections to public APIs. AI options include agents, tools, Maia natural-language automation building, and more than 300 AI app integrations. Each scenario action consumes credits, with some AI-provider features using more. The Free plan costs nothing and includes up to 1,000 credits monthly, two active scenarios, and a 15-minute minimum scheduled-run interval; it has no time limit and requires no credit card. Core is listed at $9 a month. Android and iOS apps can monitor phone events and perform device actions. Make lists GDPR, SOC 3, and SOC 2 Type II compliance, encryption, and single sign-on. It was founded in 2015 and is part of Celonis.
