In their own words
Mailo
Mailo is an email service available on the web and through Android and iOS apps, with calendar, address book, cloud and sharing services. Its free plan includes 1 GB of email storage, 500 MB for documents and photos, five aliases, advertising banners, and IMAP4 and EAS access. Premium is listed at €1.50 per month and expands the mailbox to 20 GB, with 5 GB for a virtual disk and photo albums and up to 100 aliases. Premium also removes webmail advertising, supports attachments up to 50 MB and provides POP3 or IMAP4 access. It includes a lifetime email address, and the offer can be activated for one to five years. Mailo says it stores data in France, does not use or sell it, and does not read messages; listed features also include end-to-end encryption and custom domains. Migration tools can retrieve messages, contacts and events from an old provider and set up forwarding. Mailo says it offers responsive, personalized support in English.
PrivMail
PrivMail, also called PrivateMail, provides encrypted email and file storage, along with tools including a calendar, tasks, notes and email aliases. Email supports end-to-end OpenPGP encryption. Users can generate or import OpenPGP keys, which the service says remain on their devices rather than its servers. SecureShare encrypts files locally before upload, for recipients to download and decrypt locally. PrivateMail Files encrypts synced-folder contents with AES 256 encryption and supports desktop folder sync. Users can add external services such as Gmail, Outlook or Mail.com and manage OpenPGP security through PrivateMail. Optional mobile sync covers native Android and iOS contacts and calendars. PrivateMail says it does not log inbox logins or IP addresses when users access its mail services. It is listed for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web and Windows. A free plan is available with a TorGuard subscription; it is webmail-only and includes 100mb email storage and 100mb file storage per month. Paid plan prices listed include $8.95 per month for Standard and $15.95 per month for PrivateMail Pro.
