MakeItTalk vs Morph Studio

MakeItTalk is Linux, self-hosted software that creates expressive talking-head videos from one facial image and an audio track. Audio content drives lip movement and nearby facial motion, while speaker information influences expressions and other talking-head movement. The project describes use with human portraits, paintings, sketches, 2D cartoons, manga, and stylized caricatures, including faces or characters not seen during training. Its repository includes pretrained models, module training code, and Google Colab demos for natural faces. For human faces and paintings, the README calls for a centered 256×256 JPG portrait and a WAV file. Optional command-line settings adjust lip motion on the x and y axes and head-motion displacement. Morph Studio is a web platform for generating images and videos from text or image prompts. Its open canvas lets users arrange, edit, and connect creations into stories, alongside an immersive prompt-based generation space. Video tools include text-to-video, image-to-video, and Video Style Transfer, which converts footage into as many as eight artistic styles. The image generator creates and transforms images from prompts or existing images. The site lists models including Wan, Kling, Seedance, FLUX, Veo, MiniMax, Hunyuan, Runway, Luma, and Imagen. Videos can reach 1080p resolution, with a maximum listed length of 0.5. The Free plan provides 75 monthly credits, two models for video generation, text-to-image generation, style transfer, and 90-day asset retention. Basic costs $12 a month for 3,000 credits; Pro costs $35 a month for 12,000, and Premier costs $90 a month for 40,000. Paid plans list 10+ models, unlimited asset retention, and commercial use. Failed video generations do not use credits.
