In their own words

MakeSense.ai

MakeSense.ai is a browser-based tool for labeling photos and preparing datasets for computer vision projects. It supports point, line, rectangle, polygon, and label annotations, with model-assisted labeling through YOLOv5, SSD pretrained on COCO, and PoseNet. Users can load their own YOLOv5 models exported to TensorFlow.js format. Export options include CSV, YOLO, VOC XML, VGG JSON, and COCO JSON; imports include YOLO, VOC XML, and COCO JSON. The available format combinations vary by annotation type, and some are not yet supported. The project says images are not sent to a server and AI features run using TensorFlow.js. It works in a browser across operating systems, and documented local and Docker setups are available; Docker serves the application on localhost:3000. The project describes it as suitable for small computer vision deep-learning projects and dataset preparation. It was founded in 2019, is licensed under GPL-3.0, and credits Piotr Skalski as author and copyright holder. The Free plan costs nothing.

Roboflow

Roboflow provides tools for building, deploying, and monitoring computer vision applications, from dataset preparation through model inference. Its dataset features include image annotation, video frame extraction, preprocessing, and augmentation; annotation types include boxes, polygons, segmentation masks, classification labels, and keypoints. Exports include JSON, XML, CSV, TXT, and more than 30 additional formats. A hosted inference API runs models on autoscaling infrastructure with load balancing and burst support. Deployment options include roboflow.js, NVIDIA Jetson, Luxonis OAK, iOS, self-hosting, VPC, and on-premise environments. The Free Tier costs nothing and includes 10 credits monthly, stated as enough for about 30 model trainings or 80,000 inferences. Core costs $39 a month, billed monthly, with 20 credits and a private workspace and models. The pricing comparison lists one model training at a time by default and 20 projects for Core. Roboflow states it encrypts data in transit and at rest and is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant; enterprise pricing is custom.
