Overview

The platform spans employee-facing tools and specialist-team products, with SaaS, private cloud, customer VPC and on-premise deployment options. That range suits organizations with varied infrastructure requirements, but smaller employers may find the minimum scale harder to justify.

Key features

The Communications & Intranet suite brings together a Communications Hub, Sites, Wikis, Surveys and Recognitions. News publishing, an employee directory, page building, audience targeting and SSO support make it a fuller internal communications and publishing platform than a simple staff news feed. Organizations can target content and give employees a central place to find it.

Frontline access is a notable advantage: the intranet works on any device, supports more than 50 languages and is designed for use without corporate email or a VPN. Native mobile access makes the proposition more relevant to employees who are away from desks. Connections to more than 200 systems, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Workday, UKG, ADP and Paylocity, can help fit the platform into an existing software environment. REST and webhook APIs, plus a published OpenAPI specification, offer further integration options.

For organizations with demanding security or hosting needs, MangoApps lists HITRUST CSF, SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications and says it signs BAAs for healthcare organizations. Its stated controls include AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2 or higher in transit, SSO, MFA, role-based access, audit logs, eDiscovery, retention and legal hold. AWS hosting, multi-region redundancy, automatic failover and a 99.9% enterprise uptime SLA add operational assurances. These options are useful for regulated or infrastructure-sensitive employers, though they do not remove the need to assess whether the chosen deployment and controls meet a particular organization’s requirements.

Pricing

MangoApps has no free plan and offers a 14-day trial. Employee suite plans require at least 200 employees; specialist plans require at least 10 seats. Those thresholds make the platform a poor fit for small teams seeking a low-commitment entry point.

Communications & Intranet: 9.00 USD per month, from 200 employees. Volume pricing and a second-suite discount are applied in the proposal. This is the direct fit for employers whose priority is internal communications and intranet publishing.
AI Productivity: 9.00 USD per employee a month, minimum 200 employees, with 8 apps included. A lower-cost employee suite for organizations focused on its included productivity apps.
Frontline Operations: 10.00 USD per employee a month, minimum 200 employees, with 12 apps included. The more relevant choice when frontline operations are the priority.
Performance & Learning: 15.00 USD per employee a month, minimum 200 employees, with 10 apps included. It targets employers seeking that employee-suite focus rather than the broad all-suite bundle.
HR Operations: 16.00 USD per employee a month, minimum 200 employees, with 10 apps included. It is the more focused option for HR operations.
All Employee Suites: 39.00 USD per employee a month, minimum 200 employees, with 5 suites and 53 apps included. It costs more than any single employee suite but consolidates a broader set of employee tools.
Field Service: 40.00 USD per specialist a month, minimum 10 technician seats, with 8 modules included.
IT Service: 42.00 USD per specialist a month, minimum 10 agent seats, with 3 apps included.
Safety & Compliance: 45.00 USD per specialist a month, minimum 10 EHS seats, with 4 apps included.
Talent Acquisition: 70.00 USD per specialist a month, minimum 10 recruiter seats, with 4 apps included.

The single-suite employee plans cost less than the 5-suite bundle but are narrower in scope. Specialist plans address particular teams and carry their own seat minimums. A 14-day trial gives prospective buyers a short evaluation window, but there is no free plan for ongoing use.

Platforms

MangoApps supports Android, iOS, macOS, Windows and web, alongside API access and self-hosted deployment. This range can accommodate mixed-device organizations and those that need to run the platform within their own environment.

Who it's for

MangoApps is aimed at frontline-heavy and distributed organizations in retail, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics and financial services. Its device-independent access, multilingual support and integration breadth suit employers trying to connect desk-based and frontline staff. The minimum of 200 employees for employee suites makes it less suitable for small organizations; specialist products start at 10 seats instead.

The company describes dedicated customer success managers, expert implementation and ongoing strategic guidance. That support model may suit organizations taking on a broad employee platform, though buyers should weigh it alongside the product’s scale requirements.

Pros and cons

Pro: Frontline employees can access the intranet across devices and without corporate email or VPN, addressing a common access barrier for distributed workforces.
Pro: More than 200 system connections, REST and webhook APIs, and a published OpenAPI specification offer several routes to fit the platform into an existing stack.
Pro: Four deployment choices and a broad set of stated security controls give larger or regulated organizations flexibility in how they host and govern the platform.
Con: Employee suites require at least 200 employees, while specialist plans require at least 10 seats, ruling out many small teams.
Con: There is no free plan, and the 14-day trial is a limited evaluation period for a platform with multiple suites and deployment choices.
Con: The broad All Employee Suites bundle is 39.00 USD per employee a month; organizations needing only one suite may pay for a broader package than they need.

Alternatives

For a narrower offboarding need, 50skills Offboarding offers a free Starter plan with essential features and a two-week trial, making it a more suitable option for teams that want to try an offboarding-specific workflow without an upfront payment. Assess.one Employee Offboarding Workflow has a free plan with 100 operations a month, one team member and 10 AI workflow generations, which better fits a small team willing to work within usage limits.

Okta Lifecycle Management may suit buyers seeking lifecycle management with an Essentials plan at 17.00 USD per user/month billed annually, including 50 Workflows and a $1,500 annual contract. For another offboarding option, FlexiEle Employee Exit & Offboarding offers pay-as-you-grow pricing for startups and small businesses with 1–50 employees, as well as an option for mid-market companies with 51–500 employees.

EmpCloud Emp-Exit is another employee offboarding option. Stitchflow is another alternative, with a free plan for building and testing a first workflow in the buyer’s environment. Verdict

MangoApps is a strong candidate for large, distributed employers that need an employee intranet built for frontline access, extensive integrations and flexible deployment. Its breadth and support model are persuasive for organizations ready to adopt a platform across teams; the 200-employee minimum, specialist seat thresholds and lack of a free plan give smaller buyers clear reasons to look elsewhere.
