ManyTextures

ManyTextures is a web database of royalty-free textures for architecture, videogames, and design. Its latest textures are listed at 4096 × 4096 pixels, and files are available in JPG, PNG, and PSD. The site describes its textures as seamless, tileable, and Power of Two size. A Seamless Converter can make an uploaded texture seamless; the Heightmap Generator derives height from pixel brightness, and the Normalmap Generator creates a normal map from an upload. For that tool, ManyTextures recommends a good heightmap as input for better results.

Users can submit textures for possible inclusion. Accepted submissions are made seamless, converted to Power of Two size, and added to the database. The free plan is free and covers textures to download in JPG, PNG, and PSD; commercial use is within the listed license scope. There is no free trial. Visitors can sign up for new-texture notifications, contact the maker, or donate. The privacy policy describes information collection from contact messages and account registration, plus site usage and technical data; the site also uses analytics and other cookies.

Poliigon

Poliigon provides 3D artists with a library of photorealistic textures, models, and HDRIs. The homepage describes more than 7,000 3D assets for architectural visualization, product rendering, game design, VFX, and animation. Other listed asset types include generators and Substance Designer files, with download formats such as JPG, PNG, TIFF, EXR, FBX, BLEND, and MAX. The site lists support for tools including Blender, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Maya, Houdini, Rhino, Revit, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, D5 Render, Lumion, KeyShot, Enscape, Unity, Unreal Engine, Twinmotion, and Substance tools. Polydex organizes local asset folders, identifies PBR textures, models, and HDRIs, and groups related files into single assets. Its Core plan costs nothing, billed Forever, and provides automatic identification, local search, and drag-and-drop import. Unlimited plans include premium and free library access and commercial licenses for assets downloaded during the subscription. Those plans prohibit mirroring large portions of the library or automating downloads; excessive use can restrict downloads for up to seven days.
