Mapon
Mapon is fleet management software that brings fleet solutions and data together on one platform. It provides live GPS data, vehicle locations, and route history, along with camera livestreams and footage archives organized by vehicle and date. Fleet teams can monitor driving behaviour and compare driver performance with AI assistance to identify fuel-wasting habits. The platform also includes maintenance management, fuel tracking, driver safety tools, and compliance tracking. It offers automatic remote tachograph downloads; tachograph data upload and camera systems are paid add-ons in Basic and Pro. Integrations cover road toll systems, fuel stations, trailer tracking systems, and other tools, with APIs for data exchange. Some integrations are included in a subscription and others have a separate monthly cost. Mapon Manager and Mapon Driver are available on Android and iOS; Driver supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Pricing is personalised by fleet size, features, add-ons, and contract duration. Mapon offers a trial of up to 30 days before plan commitment.
Traccar
Traccar is GPS tracking software for monitoring devices through a self-hosted server or managed hosting. It shows device positions in real time on road maps or satellite imagery, alongside sensor readings and other tracker data. Alerts can flag geofence crossings, harsh driving, fuel drops, and maintenance events. Trip records, charts, summaries, and location history are available for review, with report export to Excel. Traccar works with trackers from manufacturers including Teltonika, Jimi IoT, Ruptela, Queclink, Suntech, and TopFlyTech across more than 200 protocols. Its server runs on Windows or Linux, on owned hardware or in the cloud. Android and iOS apps require a Traccar server; a separate client app can make a smartphone act as a tracker. The API supports service functions and live updates. The server is free and open source for private or commercial use. Managed plans are listed at $9.95 a month for a shared account and $49.95 a month for a dedicated server.
