In their own words
MetaKarta
MetaKarta is an enterprise metadata management platform built around one shared repository for lineage, cataloging, governance, and semantic definitions. Its lineage capability parses SQL, Python, Informatica mappings, SSIS packages, stored procedures, and COBOL copybooks to calculate column-level lineage. The catalog attaches business context to technical metadata harvested from data systems; governance applies ownership, versioning, and policy at the point of use and retains change history for audits. Semantic Hub compiles governed business definitions into native database and BI formats and provides compiled context for AI agents. Meta Integration states that MetaKarta has more than 400 native connectors. Customer-managed deployment can run on-premises or in private or public cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. The platform provides REST API access and an administrator-enabled Model Context Protocol server. Licensing uses concurrent-user packs with producer and consumer roles, and editions include unlimited metadata assets. Pricing is on request, with no free plan. Data Lineage Starter and Semantic Hub Starter each cost $50 a year.
