MathScore
MathScore provides adaptive online math practice and assessment for learners from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, Algebra 1, and Geometry. Practice is self-guided and develops through definition-level understanding, computational skill, and analytical understanding. The service aligns with Common Core and standards from some states that did not adopt it. Free topics are available at each K–8 grade level, and students can practice math facts for free without a stated time limit. A 30-day trial is listed, after which users can upgrade only the students ready for full topic access. The first paid student costs $9.95 a month, the second costs $3 a month, and each additional paid student costs $1.50 a month. Accounts never expire, and reports track student progress. Geometry includes a fill-in-the-blank proof engine. Signup supports parent or instructor accounts and single classrooms, with standards choices including Common Core, Minnesota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, Philippine, and None. Bulk discounts are available. The product was developed by MIT graduates starting in 2003, and the maker is based in Palo Alto, California.
Synthesis Tutor
Synthesis Tutor is a personalized math learning product for children ages 5–11, covering standard K–5 topics such as counting, arithmetic, fractions and algebraic thinking. Lessons target gaps in a child’s knowledge and use real-time micro-assessments to check understanding before advancing. For children under 7, text and answer choices are read aloud automatically, and voice speed can be adjusted. The Tutor is available in English and Spanish on the web and iOS, with other languages in progress. Schools, classrooms, homeschooling pods and districts can inquire through an interest form. A seven-day trial is listed, though the facts do not specify a free plan. Individual Monthly costs $35 a month for one child; Family Monthly is $29 a month for up to seven children. Annual and lifetime options are also listed, including Family Annual at $119 a year for up to seven children.
