In their own words
Mattermark
Mattermark helps users find, prospect, and track fast-growing companies and investors. Company profiles cover more than 80 fields, including geography, industry, revenue, personnel, funding, and employee growth; the service also monitors changes in team size, web traffic, and media mentions. Users can search, filter, and sort company information, then follow organizations with saved searches, custom lists, and news notifications. Mattermark says it draws information from millions of news articles and websites daily using machine learning, web crawlers, primary sources, and natural language processing, with in-house analysts verifying data daily. Its Salesforce integration syncs company information into leads and other objects and supports triggers and actions on data fields. Excel, Google Sheets, an iOS app, and a Chrome extension are also listed as access or integration options. The API offers REST and GraphQL access to company and investor data, including details, news, similar companies, and funding events; its trial includes 100 free API calls. Pricing includes free iOS access, paid options from $49/user/mo, and other plans with separate terms.
Wappalyzer
Wappalyzer turns public website signals into technographic data for prospecting, record enrichment and monitoring market changes. It identifies thousands of technologies across millions of websites using signals such as HTML, scripts, headers, cookies and other fingerprints. Users can upload CSV or TXT files with up to 100,000 URLs for bulk analysis. APIs cover technology lookup, lead lists, subdomain discovery and email verification. Live results count as five lookups each; cached results are verified within the last 30 days. The service offers browser extensions and integrations including Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Gmail, Zapier, Make and an iPhone app. Basic extension detection runs locally, and sharing limited website-level data can be disabled in settings. The free plan includes 50 technology lookups and 50 email verifications per month, five website alerts and sample lead lists. Pro costs $250 a month for one user. Plan-included API credits expire after 60 days, while credits bought in bundles expire after 365 days. Wappalyzer is aimed at sales, marketing, operations, strategy, partnerships and security teams.
