In their own words
Mazaika
Mazaika makes pictures from pictures: it replaces regions of a source image with matching images from a collection to create a mosaic. You can manually change individual tiles and adjust color, blending, sharpening, rendering, and repetition. Batch mosaic processing is also available. Full versions export JPG, TIF, PSB, BMP, TXT, or HTML; HTML pages can be clickable and zoomable. Full versions allow unlimited mosaic resolution, while the 30-day trial limits output to 2500 × 2500 pixels, tile size to 32 × 32, and exports to JPG. Mac and Windows licenses cost $49.95 once. The software runs on Windows and macOS; Linux use is supported through Crossover (WINE). The Mac edition can build image libraries from iPhoto, Aperture, Apple Photos, folders, or individual files. Mazaika was founded in 1994 and has been used for printed art, advertisements, and web projects.
