MC-Skins.net vs Minecraft Plot

MC-Skins.net is a free web library of Minecraft skins and capes, with downloads available without an account, login, or paywall. The site says it hosts 34,267 skins from 12,012 creators and 2,319 free capes. Its browser editor can draw or edit Java 64×64 and Bedrock HD 128×128 skins and download them as PNG files. Editing tools include a pen, eraser, fill, auto-tone, mirror, grid, color picker, undo, and redo, with body and overlay layers. The site says the editor reads and writes files in the browser and keeps them between visits. Other browser tools include skin and head grabbers, a cape maker and checker, cape preview, avatar maker, and Minecraft server checker. The head grabber generates /give commands for versions 1.8 through the latest version. Some tools, including the cape checker and server checker, are for Java Edition; the server page notes Bedrock uses a different address and port. The site has no accounts, keeps ordinary web-server request logs, and may serve ads and traffic analytics that set their own cookies. It says it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mojang Studios.

Minecraft Plot is a collection of Minecraft tools that includes a skin download page and a link to a community skin library. The download page lists 200 skins. Users can search by name, type or creator, and filter listings by popularity or upload date. The library provides 3D previews from multiple angles with lighting effects. PNG downloads are described as working with Java Edition, Bedrock and mod clients; the page also advertises HD texture support, original-quality preservation and format conversion. The downloads are described as mobile-optimized, and the listed platforms are Android, iOS and web. Users can upload their own creations to the partner library and share them with its community. Beyond skins, the homepage describes more than 30 tools for server management, creative design, calculations and references. It says all tools are free with unlimited access, while the pricing page also lists paid memberships. Free User costs nothing and includes basic tools and standard support. Premium memberships remove ads, provide priority support and offer early access to new features. Minecraft Plot says it is not affiliated with Mojang.
