In their own words
Meal Ark
Meal Ark is a meal-planning and nutrition app for creating personalized plans, logging food, finding recipes, and organizing groceries. Recommendations can use health goals, calorie and macro targets, dietary preferences, allergies, favorite cuisines, budget, and preferences for repeating meals. Food logging supports image and barcode scanning, voice search, and text search, with tracking for calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and nutrition trends. Recipes include nutrition information and step-by-step instructions, and the AI Cooking Assistant answers cooking questions. Pantry Chef suggests recipes from ingredients already available. Grocery lists are generated from meal plans and recipes while accounting for pantry items. Meal Ark runs on Android, iOS, and the web, with plans covering up to seven days. The free Basic plan limits daily generation and saving, image scans, customization, and excludes weekly planning and smart grocery lists. Premium costs $49.99 a year and adds weekly plans, advanced customization, tracking, printable grocery lists, and priority support.
Pantryfy
Pantryfy connects household pantry tracking, recipes, meal planning, and shopping lists in an app for Android, iOS, and the web. Pantry items can be added by barcode, reviewed receipt photo, or plain language, with expiry warnings. Recipes can be imported from URLs, pasted text, or reviewed cookbook-page photos. Dinner suggestions are ranked by how much of each recipe the household already owns, and shopping lists can be built from a weekly plan and grouped by store route. The Free plan costs nothing and includes 50 pantry items, 25 recipes, 10 AI requests per day, 10 lifetime image parses, and 25 lifetime barcode scans. Video imports from TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube are available, with three daily imports on Free. Autopilot can draft weekly plans, which users review or approve before application. Nutrition details reflect available ingredient data; known allergen conflicts are filtered where data allows, but users are advised to check labels and cross-contact themselves.
