In their own words

Medusa

Medusa is a command-line backup system for Apache Cassandra that runs on Linux in a self-hosted deployment. It supports full and differential backups, single-node backup and restore, and cluster-wide restores in place or to a remote location. Backup destinations include local storage, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, AWS S3, and compatible S3 services. It supports clusters using either single tokens or vnodes. Its verify command checks backup completion, manifest and file presence, and file hashes; MD5 checks can be enabled, while file size is checked by default. Configuration documentation covers client SSL settings and S3 server-side encryption with KMS or customer-provided keys. Retention settings can purge backups by age or count. Installation instructions cover pip and Debian packages, including offline installation, and describe installing Medusa on each Cassandra node. It requires Python 3.9 or newer and is licensed under Apache-2.0. A stated constraint is that it does not support Cassandra deployments with multiple data-folder directories.

SqlBak

SqlBak automates database backups and provides a web service for managing backups from multiple servers. It lists support for SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Azure SQL, Amazon RDS for SQL Server, and MongoDB. Destinations include Amazon S3, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Microsoft Azure, S3-compatible storage, Backblaze B2, Box, Wasabi, Google Cloud, Aruba Cloud, Yandex Disk, FTP, local or network folders, and SSH. SQL Server tools include point-in-time recovery, full, differential, and transaction-log backups, automatic verification, compression, health monitoring, and one-click restore. The app runs as a background service on Windows or Linux servers; Docker and Raspberry Pi installation are also described. SqlBak says backups are encrypted and sent directly from the server to the user's storage, while database credentials are encrypted and kept on the server. The Free plan covers one server, two databases, and one month of backup history. Standard costs $6 a month per server, and Professional costs $9 a month per server. A 30-day trial of Professional features requires no credit card to start.
