Mega Voxels
Mega Voxels is a mobile app for making 3D voxel art and 2D pixel art on Android and iOS. Its editors include a 3D voxel workspace and a pixel-art editor with Pencil, Bucket Fill, and Magic Wand tools. The installation guide describes a library of more than 450 voxel models and says users can create models up to 256×256×256. The app supports MagicaVoxel VOX files and OBJ export; the maker describes exports for use with tools such as Unity and Blender. It also says users can create and save video animations and view designs in augmented reality. The app download is free, and free content licenses are issued at no cost. Premium content licenses are available with a valid subscription, but each license applies to one design, and premium content cannot be copied, downloaded, or distributed as a standalone item. Weekly Premium costs $1.99 a month, Monthly Premium costs $4.99 a month, and Yearly Premium costs $49.99 a year. The maker identifies Go Real Games, LLC as the app's owner and operator.
Sproxel
Sproxel is a free, open-source 3D interface for making and editing voxel models, using cube-based forms as an extension of 2D pixel art. It can generate sprites for custom displays or game engines. Version 0.4 supports importing BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG and TIFF images into voxel grids, and exporting OBJ meshes as quads or triangles without internal polygons. Version 0.5 added grid resizing, draggable tools with previews, voxel outlines, camera snapping and a two-click Line tool. Version 0.6 added multi-sprite projects, a Python plug-in system, Paint3D (.3MP) import and export, slicing, and indexed-color grids with a 256-color palette. The maker describes it as developed on Windows and Linux using the QT windowing framework; the listed platforms are Windows, macOS and Linux. The download is described as a package that can be copied to a directory and run without installation. The package has no help file, and the maker points users to a manual. The version 0.6 release post said its download was win32 only at that time.
