In their own words
MeloNX
MeloNX is a free, open-source Nintendo Switch emulator for iPhone and iPad, based on Ryujinx and licensed under GPLv3. It needs JIT to run but does not require a jailbreak. The recommended installation uses PlumeImpactor to sideload its IPA, with SideStore as an optional on-device method. The maker recommends iPhone 15 Pro or newer and certain iPad Pro and iPad Air models; listed minimum-compatible devices are iPhone 6s with a paid developer account and iPhone 12 with a free developer account. Users add encryption keys and firmware through the in-app picker, while commercial games require legally dumped firmware, keys and purchased games. Audio output works, but microphone input does not. Controls include keyboard, touch, JoyCon and nearly all MFI controllers; JoyCon motion is unavailable due to an iOS limitation. DLC and updates are supported, mods are unsupported, and graphics use Metal through MoltenVK.
Nuzu
Nuzu is an open-source emulator for Nintendo Switch games, described by its repository as an unofficial mirror fork of the original repository. It is written in C++ and lists Windows, Linux, macOS and Android support. The README says builds are actively maintained for Windows, Linux and Android, while the build instructions also cover macOS. OpenGL and Vulkan graphics APIs and motion controls are listed. The project says the emulator can run most commercial games at full speed when necessary hardware requirements are met, and points readers to a compatibility page for the complete supported-game list. Nuzu is licensed under GPLv3 or any later version. The README describes an installer on the downloads page that automatically downloads the latest releases, but the GitHub releases page currently says there are no releases. Most development happens on GitHub, with discussion available through Discord. Interface translation work is coordinated on Transifex and periodically upstreamed. The project asks supporters to use Patreon for development-related costs.
