Microsoft PowerPoint vs WaveMaker

Microsoft PowerPoint helps users create, design and share presentations across web, desktop and mobile versions for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. It offers thousands of customizable templates, and users can write or draw on slides and convert input into text or shapes. Presentations can be shared for real-time collaboration with comments and @mentions. Copilot can rewrite, reorganize or add slides, while Speaker Coach provides feedback on pace and vocabulary. Accessibility Assistant suggests adjustments to format, color and word choice; Cameo supports prerecorded video alongside slides. The free web tier includes basic tools, sharing, collaboration, dictation and 5 GB of storage. Microsoft 365 subscriptions bundle PowerPoint with apps including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive and Teams. Personal costs $9.99 a month with 1 TB storage; Family costs $12.99 a month with up to 6 TB. Fully installed Office apps can work offline, but after at least 31 days without internet they cannot edit or create documents. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.

WaveMaker is an agentic app generation platform for building web and mobile applications. Its Design to Code agent converts Figma designs into front-end code, design tokens, and a themed component library. In Hybrid Developer Studio, developers can move between agent, visual, and editor modes to review and refine generated code. WaveMaker describes its coding approach as a two-pass system combining deterministic AI with human review. It connects to databases including MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, IBM DB2, and HSQLDB, and can generate REST APIs for database entities, queries, procedures, and Java services. Authentication options include database, LDAP, Active Directory, CAS, SAML, OpenID, custom Java, and token-based methods. The platform documents role-based access controls and protections against XSS and CSRF. It offers a React Native product for mobile applications and supports enterprise deployment of web and mobile apps. Platforms include web, Android, iOS, API, and self-hosted deployment. Pricing is on request; a free pilot with an expert is also offered, with no duration stated.
