| Audience | Middleware says its mission is to empower organizations of all sizes to modernize their infrastructure stack with observability tools. | The documentation recommends using a Collector alongside services generally, while noting that direct-to-backend export can work for getting started or for development and small-scale environments. |
| Integrations | Documented integrations include AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Vercel, databases, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Logstash, Fluentd and the OpenTelemetry Collector. | The docs list support for open source telemetry formats including Jaeger, Prometheus, and Fluent Bit, with data sent to open source or commercial backends. |
| Security | Middleware says customer data is encrypted at rest and in transit using TLS 1.2+ and AES-256. | The security guidance recommends securing both hosting infrastructure and Collector configuration to help protect sensitive telemetry, prevent tampering and denial of service, and support regulatory compliance. |
| Support | Free users receive community support, pay-as-you-go customers get a dedicated Slack or Teams channel, and custom-contract customers receive an account team and 24x7 support. | Support for Collector software artifacts includes, at minimum, fixes for critical bugs and security issues for a period determined by the artifact’s intended audience. |
