In their own words
Mind Elixir App
Mind Elixir App is a mind-mapping tool for creative work, with AI assistance and offline mode. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android, and users can sync maps across devices through their own S3-compatible storage. Mind maps and related data are stored locally and are not uploaded without explicit consent, according to the privacy policy. When a user chooses an AI feature, submitted content is temporarily sent to AI service providers and is not stored permanently. Editing and organization tools include flexible tags, Outline Mode, Markdown rich text, and embedded LaTeX formulas and chemical equations. Maps can be exported as JSON, PNG, JPEG, or WEBP; the app also describes importing from tools such as M10C. The Free plan costs nothing and allows 24 maps. Real-time collaboration is marked No. Related tools from the maker include an eBook tool that turns EPUB and PDF books into mind maps and an M10C browser extension for extracting content from videos and web pages.
MindMapVault
MindMapVault is an encrypted vault for creating, editing, and storing mind maps, notes, attachments, and map relationships. For cloud use, map content is encrypted on the device with AES-256-GCM before upload, and the server stores ciphertext; its hybrid key encapsulation combines X25519 and ML-KEM-768. Cloud Free provides 25 MB encrypted storage, three active shares, five published maps, and a 5 MB maximum file size. Cloud Pro costs $50 a year and provides 1 GB, 100 active shares, effectively unlimited published maps, and a 50 MB maximum file size. A free desktop-local app and self-hosted Docker deployment are also listed. The desktop app works offline without an account or server and keeps data on the device. The web app can be installed as a PWA on iPhone and Android, with offline use supported. Imports include FreeMind, Freeplane, WiseMapping, XMind, and Markdown; exports include JSON, Markdown, FreeMind, PNG, and PDF. There is no real-time collaboration, and credentials cannot be recovered for existing encrypted vault contents if lost.
