In their own words
Minecraft Development MCP Server
Minecraft Development MCP Server gives AI assistants and development tools ways to inspect Minecraft Java source and mods. It can download, decompile and remap versions on first use, then cache the results for searching and analysis. Its 21 tools cover source code, mappings and registry data, validation, and mod analysis. Developers can validate Mixin code and loader-specific access rules, inspect mod JAR metadata and dependencies, and compare versions at class and AST levels to identify changes. Mapping namespaces include Yarn, Mojmap, Intermediary and obfuscated names. Yarn is available for Minecraft 1.14–1.21.11; versions 26.1 and later support Mojmap, while Yarn is unavailable. Setup is documented for Claude Desktop and Claude Code, with HTTP transport and a standalone CLI also available. Installation options include global npm, npx or a source build. It is free and MIT-licensed, and runs on Windows, macOS and Linux/WSL. Node.js 18 or newer is required, and Java 17 or newer is needed for decompilation and remapping. Its local cache uses about 400–500 MB per Minecraft version.
Quilt Loom
Quilt Loom is a Gradle plugin that adds Quilt support to the Fabric Loom Gradle plugin for Minecraft modding projects. It reads `quilt.mod.json` metadata to enable features such as jars-in-jars, transitive access wideners, and interface injection. The plugin automatically adds the Quilt Releases repository and applies the Quilt Mappings on Loom plugin. It uses Quiltflower by default through loom-quiltflower by Juuxel. The project is based on a fabric-loom subproject with Quilt-specific patches, and its repository includes Gradle wrapper scripts for build tasks. Contributors are directed to work in the patched-quilt-loom subproject and submit changes as patches for maintainers to merge into the patch series. The software is free under an MIT license, subject to its conditions, and supports Linux, macOS, and Windows. The GitHub Releases page has no releases listed. Quilt describes itself as an independent maker of Minecraft modding tools, not an official Minecraft product and not approved by or associated with Mojang Studios.
