In their own words
Mintlify
Mintlify is a documentation and knowledge platform built for developers and AI agents. Its GitHub App deploys documentation when repository changes are pushed, and its API playground can be generated from OpenAPI or AsyncAPI schemas. Mintlify also generates a search MCP server that lets AI clients such as Claude, Cursor, Goose, and ChatGPT search and retrieve site content. Documentation sites can embed Intercom or Front support widgets through the integrations field in docs.json. The collaborative editor is intended for contributors across engineering, product, customer support, marketing, and writing. Starter costs nothing and includes five editor seats, a custom domain, web editor, authentication, MCP server, and API playground. Pro costs $450 a month, billed monthly, and includes unlimited editor seats, 10,000 credits per month, and $0.01 per credit in overages. Mintlify Desktop is in beta for macOS, Windows, and Linux, with stated minimum operating-system requirements. Mintlify says sensitive organizational and user data is encrypted at rest with AES256-GCM and that it responds to support requests within two business days.
Papyrs
Papyrs is a hosted company intranet, team wiki, and knowledge base for sharing news, files, forms, projects, discussions, and documentation. Its drag-and-drop editor supports widgets, custom page layouts, Markdown, and a keyboard command palette. Search covers pages, files, discussions, and forms; folders, tags, templates, and version history help organize content. Teams can discuss pages, subscribe to email updates, set permissions, and arrange work in subsites. Forms include reports, status fields, CSV export, and database views. Papyrs connects with Slack and Google Workspace, supports Zapier and an API, and can embed third-party content. It offers iOS and Android progressive web apps, plus single sign-on. Data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS. The Personal Wiki plan allows one user, two subsites, and 1GB of storage; individual uploaded files can be up to 512MB. Team Wiki costs $89 a month billed annually, or 99.00 USD monthly. A 14-day trial includes Company Intranet plan features and does not automatically charge when it ends.
