In their own words

Mintlify

Mintlify is a documentation and knowledge platform built for developers and AI agents. Its GitHub App deploys documentation when repository changes are pushed, and its API playground can be generated from OpenAPI or AsyncAPI schemas. Mintlify also generates a search MCP server that lets AI clients such as Claude, Cursor, Goose, and ChatGPT search and retrieve site content. Documentation sites can embed Intercom or Front support widgets through the integrations field in docs.json. The collaborative editor is intended for contributors across engineering, product, customer support, marketing, and writing. Starter costs nothing and includes five editor seats, a custom domain, web editor, authentication, MCP server, and API playground. Pro costs $450 a month, billed monthly, and includes unlimited editor seats, 10,000 credits per month, and $0.01 per credit in overages. Mintlify Desktop is in beta for macOS, Windows, and Linux, with stated minimum operating-system requirements. Mintlify says sensitive organizational and user data is encrypted at rest with AES256-GCM and that it responds to support requests within two business days.

XWiki

XWiki is an open-source enterprise wiki and knowledge-management platform for collaboration, document management and structured data. It can be used for knowledge bases, collaborative intranets, public websites and business applications, with publishing for internal or external audiences. Editors can work in wiki syntax or a WYSIWYG interface, while version control allows earlier pages to be compared or restored. Page rights can govern viewing, editing and deletion at the page, child-page or whole-wiki level. More than 900 extensions include applications, macros, skins, plugins and themes. Listed connectors include Active Directory, Office 365, Google Apps and OnlyOffice; a RESTful API supports integration with other applications. XWiki is available as a self-hosted installation or through XWiki Cloud. Its Community edition is self-hosted and open source; cloud plans list capacities from 25 users to unlimited users. XWiki Cloud's 10-day demo trial can be extended twice. Cloud service is hosted in France on OVHcloud and includes backups, monitoring, antivirus scanning and security maintenance. If storage exceeds a plan allowance, wiki actions may be limited to viewing pages.
