In their own words
Mixkit
Mixkit is a free web library of digital items for creative projects, including stock video, music, sound effects, templates, and digital art. Its stock video includes HD and 4K footage, vertical clips, and no watermark. Music tracks are offered for video projects, podcasts, and online advertising, with unlimited downloads and no attribution or sign-up required. The library also includes sound effects and video templates for Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve. Mixkit says Premiere Pro templates require the latest Adobe Premiere Pro; After Effects is not needed to open its Mogrts or project files. License terms vary by item type. For stock video, the Restricted License is for non-commercial projects, while the Free License permits commercial use. Mixkit says items covered by its Free License can be used in commercial and non-commercial projects. Downloading grants a non-exclusive license to use an item, not ownership. The terms also prohibit scripts or bots from mass-downloading items or scraping the library.
SoundBits
SoundBits is a web service offering sound-effects libraries and bundles for multimedia projects. Its free Sound Effects Collection contains 285 files in a 2.1 GB download and includes metadata. These sounds may be used in linear commercial or non-commercial projects. The Starter Pack costs 10.00 EUR once, provides a selection from an original library, and includes a 10€ coupon toward that library. Paid library sounds carry a lifetime, worldwide, royalty-free synchronization license that is non-transferable and non-exclusive. The license covers musical, video game, and multimedia projects without a limit on usage frequency. Files arrive as BWF-tagged WAV, mostly 24-bit/96 kHz. Just Whoosh includes metadata and follows the Universal Category System. One purchaser may use sounds on two same-owner workstations; additional users need licenses. Downloads follow PayPal payment, and downloaded sales are final except at SoundBits’ discretion.
