Mobstep
Mobstep gives restaurants branded iOS and Android ordering apps, a mobile web store, and a QR menu for direct orders. Its restaurant service is described as charging 0% commission on orders. The platform connects ordering channels with POS, kitchen, delivery, payments, and loyalty through a shared menu and customer record. An AI builder can produce a branded native app from a restaurant description for customization and publishing. Delivery tools group nearby orders, plan routes, sequence drops by promised time, and provide live ETAs. An AI support agent answers questions about menu items, order status, and store information using restaurant data, with sensitive issues passed to staff. Marketing options include points and cashback, targeted offers, push notifications, WhatsApp and SMS campaigns, and 17 configurable customer segments. Basic costs $29/month and Premium $49/month; annual options cost $295/year and $499/year respectively. Mobstep offers a free trial but no free plan. It is headquartered in 6th of October, Giza, Egypt.
OwnOrder
OwnOrder turns a restaurant’s existing website into a branded direct-ordering website and app. It is aimed at independent UK restaurants and takeaways, offering collection and delivery ordering with driver tracking for both. The platform also includes table bookings, a live floor plan, and a kitchen display that supports ticket printing. Restaurants can run promotions and discount codes, offer loyalty points, and use push and email marketing. Payments go through Stripe Express into the restaurant’s own Stripe account; OwnOrder says it does not hold or touch the money. Restaurants can export customer data at any time. The maker builds and submits branded native apps for iOS and Android, which become available in the App Store and Google Play after review. Hosting, SSL, and updates for the restaurant’s own domain are included. The maker says a free preview is usually ready in a minute or two and most restaurants can go live the same day they connect their domain. The plan costs £2 a month, billed per order, plus the standard Stripe card fee; there is no monthly fee or setup fee. A 12-month minimum term applies, followed by month-to-month billing, with an early-termination fee for leaving during the first year.
