| Integrations | Mocai lists free plugins for Blender, Unity, Maya, and Unreal Engine to upload clips and import takes from those editors. | PoseCap runs as a Blender extension and streams poses from a separate engine process to Blender over a local connection. |
| Intended users | The maker describes Mocai as a self-serve motion-capture product for people working with Blender, Maya, Unity, Unreal, or their own tools. | The project describes Blender animators seeking body animation without mocap suits, markers, or external mocap software as its target users. |
| Support | The maker invites customers to contact it and says Enterprise plans can include custom builds, integrations, and usage limits. | The support guide directs users to run PoseCap Doctor, create and review a Support Bundle, and file a bug report with build, Windows, Blender, GPU, reproduction, and diagnostic details. |
| What it does | Mocai reconstructs a subject’s body, mesh, and 127-joint skeleton from a single video as markerless motion capture. | PoseCap streams markerless full-body poses from a webcam to a character in Blender in real time. |

In their own words
Mocai
Mocai reconstructs a subject’s body, mesh, and motion from one video as markerless motion capture. The maker says footage from any single camera, including a phone, works without markers, suits, or calibration. Each performer has 70 tracked keypoints, and skeleton exports use a 127-joint rig. Capture options include finger articulation, multiple performers, root motion, floor grounding, occlusion repair, adjustable smoothing, and synchronized footage review. Exports include FBX, GLB, BVH, USD, and raw keypoints, with optional retargeting to Mixamo, UE5 Manny, and MetaHuman rigs. Plugins for Blender, Unity, Maya, and Unreal Engine support clip uploads and take imports. A public API supports uploads and webhooks; an MCP server can manage takes and exports. The free plan includes one minute of footage per month, clips up to 15 seconds, and single-person capture. Basic costs $10 a month for 10 minutes monthly and clips up to 30 seconds. The monthly footage allowance is shared between portal and API use, and uploads pause when it is reached.
PoseCap
PoseCap is a free Blender extension for streaming markerless, full-body poses from a webcam or video into a character in real time. It can stream live motion, record movement as Blender timeline keyframes, capture a single pose, and manage SMPL-X models. A separate engine process sends pose data to Blender over a local connection. MediaPipe Lite provides CPU-first capture without a GPU or provider account, while the PEAR backend provides higher-fidelity capture and requires an NVIDIA GPU with driver R570 or newer. The getting-started guide describes importing a Mixamo or Unreal character and converting it in one click. Blender 4.2 LTS or newer is required. PoseCap lists Windows 10/11 as its current target and provides a native Linux installation path; macOS is not currently planned. SMPL, SMPL-X, and FLAME models are separate licenses. Poses are pelvis-locked because monocular depth estimation cannot generally recover world translation.
