In their own words
MongoDB Ops Manager
MongoDB Ops Manager is self-hosted software for organizations running MongoDB on their own infrastructure. It covers deployment, administration, monitoring, backup, recovery, and scaling through a graphical interface and REST API. Automation handles work from cluster creation through maintenance. Monitoring visualizes and alerts on more than 100 performance metrics. Backup options include cluster-wide snapshots, continuous incremental backups, and point-in-time recovery. Performance Advisor finds slow queries and proposes index or schema changes. Administrators can add or remove nodes, rebalance data as topology changes, and perform rolling upgrades and index builds. Enterprise Advanced supports on-premises, private-cloud, and hybrid-cloud deployments, with security integrations and 24/7/365 expert support under a response SLA. MongoDB offers a free download for evaluation, while Ops Manager is provided through an Enterprise Advanced subscription. Listed platforms include Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE, and Amazon Linux.
pgAdmin
pgAdmin is a graphical tool for administering, developing with, and monitoring PostgreSQL databases. It runs as desktop software or in server mode, where multiple users can access it over the web. It supports PostgreSQL and EDB Postgres Advanced Server versions supported at the time each pgAdmin release is issued. Query tools include syntax highlighting, a data grid, graphical query plans, schema diff, an ERD tool, and a procedural language debugger. Users can manage common database objects and inspect their SQL definitions, properties, dependencies, and available statistics. Maintenance features include a monitoring dashboard, auto-vacuum management, and on-demand backup, restore, vacuum, and analyze operations. It also supports SSH tunneling, data editing, query history, and binary, CSV, or text result exports. The free plan costs nothing under the PostgreSQL Licence. Downloads include Windows and macOS installers, Linux packages, Docker, a Python wheel, and source code. Only the latest release is supported; there are no long-term stable versions.
