MultiPatch
MultiPatch is a free macOS application for applying and creating file patches. It applies BPS, IPS, UPS, PPF, XDelta, BSDiff, and RUP (Ninja2) patches, and creates BPS, IPS, PPF, XDelta, and BSDiff patches. To apply one, users can select a patch file or drag it onto the application window, then choose the target file and where to save the result. The application identifies the format from the patch file extension, so that extension must be correct. BPS creation offers Linear and Delta modes: Delta patches are usually smaller, but take longer and require more memory. Creating UPS and Ninja2 patches is not supported. The maker says patching is built into the application rather than handled by external tools. Version 2.0 requires macOS 10.9 or later; older releases are available for Mac OS X 10.4 through 10.8. A separate basic command-line version can apply or create patches for scripts or terminal use. The application is GPL-licensed, while the bundled patching libraries have their own licenses.
rom-weaver
rom-weaver is a free, open-source tool for patching and converting ROMs and disc images, and for assembling patch steps into reusable bundles. Its browser and command-line editions share an engine. Users can apply patches, create patches from ROMs, and arrange ordered workflows. The support matrix includes formats such as IPS, IPS32, BPS, UPS, xdelta, and PPF, with some format-specific limits. The tool can inspect and extract many archive and compressed image formats, including ZIP, 7z, RAR, CHD, RVZ, and Z3DS; creation support depends on the format. It can bake supported cheat codes into ROMs or save selected database cheats as patch files, but runtime-memory cheats are unsupported. Save editing covers specified Pokémon save layouts and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past SRAM, subject to game recognition limits. The browser uses WebAssembly to process files on the device; the CLI reads and writes local paths. The maker says files and results are not uploaded. The browser app can work offline after caching. It is available for web, self-hosting, Linux, macOS, and Windows, and requires no account.
