My Next Move
My Next Move is a free web-based career exploration tool for job seekers and students. It lists information on tasks, skills, salaries, and other details for 923 careers. Users can search by keyword, browse industries or career groupings, or get personalized suggestions through the O*NET Interest Profiler. Its Mini Interest Profiler uses 30 questions across six Holland interest types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional. Career pages include outlook designations based on U.S. employment growth and job-opening projections, plus some new and emerging occupations. Low, average, and high salary figures correspond to Bureau of Labor Statistics 10th, 50th, and 90th percentiles. The site links to Apprenticeship.gov and CareerOneStop, and offers a veterans-focused tool for finding civilian careers similar to military jobs, as well as Spanish-language career information through Mi Próximo Paso. Interest Profiler results are not intended for employment or hiring decisions. Developers may register for free O*NET Web Services to incorporate many features into other sites or apps.
