myHomework Student Planner vs School Planner

myHomework Student Planner is a digital planner for tracking assignments, projects, tests, classes and due dates. It supports time-based, period-based and block-based class schedules, and its iPhone app displays classes and assignments in month, week and day calendar views. Students can join a Teachers.io class to download its syllabus, schedule, attachments and announcements. Homework can also be imported from Canvas, D2L, Google Classroom, Blackboard, Schoology and other systems; a premium account can automatically update the planner with new assignments after import. Premium users can share homework with a classmate or invite a coach to view the planner. The company says its apps can be used as planners without a network connection. The free Basic plan includes tracking, reminders, device sync and upcoming homework widgets, with ads. Premium costs $4.99/yr and adds features including file attachments, external calendar access, sharing and homework import. The planner is available on web, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and as a browser extension.

School Planner is a student planner for keeping timetables, homework, exams, grades, and attendance in one place. It also covers notes, holidays, reminders, instructors, semesters, classes, courses, events, and tasks. Class schedules can repeat weekly or every two weeks on odd or even weeks, appear as one-off lessons, or be marked canceled. Grades can be connected to a subject and type, weighted, and recorded using one of 15 grading systems. Attendance can be tracked by day or subject, with configurable limits for absences and lateness and separate handling for excused absences. The service is available on the web, iOS, Android, and macOS, with one account across browser and mobile. Parents can view upcoming classes, assignments, exams, and reminders. The Free plan costs nothing; the web app has no ads, while the mobile apps show ads. The web app requires an internet connection to load and save changes.
