Overview

MyKidReports brings enrollment, family profiles, messaging, check-in, attendance, learning, billing and reporting into a shared service. Parents, teachers and staff, and administrators and owners receive role-specific views, so a center can keep family-facing activity and internal administration in the same app. That breadth is useful for providers replacing several disconnected processes, while a single-purpose attendance tool may be simpler for teams that do not need the wider scope.

The service states that it uses role-based access and end-to-end encryption on AWS cloud infrastructure, with data backups. Stripe and Deluxe power payments, and social sharing supports Facebook, Instagram and X. MyKidReports was founded in 2019.

Key features

MKR Lite includes a parent app and messaging, family profiles, daily activities, check-in and attendance reports, plus one staff account and one room. Those inclusions make the free tier workable for a very small home setting rather than merely a trial shell. Enrollment management and lesson planning extend the product beyond arrival tracking. The broader feature set covers ratios, food, compliance, websites, paperwork, communication, learning and reporting.

Billing and payments are available on Pro, not Lite. Pro and Enterprise add per-module staff permissions, allowing an administrator to control what each person can see and do. Training and onboarding are included at no extra cost, while Enterprise adds dedicated onboarding and priority support. The iOS and Android apps are included with every plan, so families and staff can use mobile access without a separate app charge.

Pricing

MKR Lite

MKR Lite is free, billed free forever, for up to five children. It is limited to one staff account and one room, but includes the parent app, messaging, daily activities, check-in, attendance reports and family profiles. This is a credible permanent option for a solo provider or tiny program; the five-child ceiling and lack of billing and payments make it unsuitable once enrollment or financial administration grows.

MKR Pro

MKR Pro costs $0.99 per child per month, priced in tiers of 10 children, and covers 1–100 children with unlimited staff. A 14-day free trial requires no credit card, and cancellation is allowed anytime. Pro is the practical choice for centers that need payments, broader staffing access or more than five children, although tiered billing means a provider pays by 10-child bands rather than an exact headcount.

Enterprise

Enterprise uses custom pricing for centers with 100+ children and multi-center groups. It adds the scale-oriented plan position, dedicated onboarding and priority support. Programs below that threshold have a clearer fit in Pro; larger organizations should request a tailored quote.

There are no setup fees, contracts, hidden costs or onboarding charges. No refund policy is stated, so buyers should clarify refunds before committing beyond the trial.

Platforms

Native apps are available on iOS and Android and are included with every plan. The same app serves parents, teachers and staff, and administrators and owners through role-specific views.

Who it's for

Choose MyKidReports if you run a home daycare, small center or growing multi-site program and want enrollment, family communication, attendance and learning functions together. Lite is aimed at up to five children and one staff account. Pro fits 1–100 children when billing, payments and unlimited staff access matter. Enterprise is designed for 100-plus-child centers and multi-center groups. It is a weaker fit for a provider that needs a larger free allowance or a platform outside iOS and Android.

Pros and cons

Pros

Free forever for up to five children, with messaging, check-in and attendance rather than a bare demo.
Pro combines billing, payments, enrollment and learning tools at $0.99 per child per month.
Unlimited staff on Pro and per-module permissions on Pro and Enterprise support delegated center operations.
End-to-end encryption, role-based access, AWS infrastructure and backups address core data-handling needs.
Training and onboarding are included, with dedicated onboarding and priority support for Enterprise.

Cons

Lite is capped at five children, one staff account and one room.
Billing and payments require Pro, so the free tier cannot handle a full fee-collection workflow.
Pro billing in 10-child tiers can charge for unused capacity near a tier boundary.
Enterprise pricing is custom, making larger-budget planning less immediate.

Alternatives

Browse the Early Childhood Education Software list for more options. BloomKidz is worth choosing instead when a nursery wants a paid, monthly plan priced by 1–30 or 31–50 children and iOS and Android apps. QikKids is the better alternative for teams needing web, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android coverage with freemium place bands. Parent suits a paid service focused on messaging, media sharing, scheduling, check-in/out and attendance across web and mobile. Lillio is an option for centers wanting custom pricing and web access alongside mobile apps. Procare fits smaller centers or in-home daycare providers willing to pay $25.00 USD monthly for its home version. ChildPlus is a paid alternative with web, desktop and mobile platforms. CubbyTrack is a web-based option for home providers with a free allowance of up to four active children. Gertrude is a free, downloadable choice spanning Android, Linux, macOS, web and Windows.

Verdict

MyKidReports is a strong fit for small childcare providers that want a genuinely usable free starting point and a low-cost path to billing, payments and broader staff access. Choose it for the combination of family engagement, attendance and administration across iOS and Android. Look elsewhere if five children is too restrictive, if you need desktop or web platforms, or if custom enterprise budgeting is unacceptable.
