nameis.fun vs ZeroTaken

nameis.fun is a web-based generator for names for products, brands, characters, pets, channels, and other ideas. Users choose a use case and up to three tones, then can add language, keywords, and words to avoid. The service can package naming work into a shareable kit. Its Brand Kit includes a naming report, slogan ideas, landing page copy, logo prompts, color direction, and export files. Share cards and PNG, CSV, and PDF exports are listed across paid plans and the Brand Kit.

The Free plan costs nothing and provides three generations per day, basic suggestions, and watermarked share cards. Name Pack costs $9, paid once and includes 100 name ideas, three full Name Reports, PNG and CSV exports, and share cards. Pro costs $9 a month; Brand Kit costs $19, paid once. The public experience is English-only, though the Korean Name use case can guide Korean-friendly sound, meaning, or cross-cultural fit. The site does not check trademarks or guarantee domain or legal availability; it advises checking those before commercial use.

ZeroTaken generates brandable domain name ideas from a project description and checks whether candidate domains appear available. Its bulk search checks selected extensions concurrently and returns available or registered results. Domain scores consider length, pronounceability, brandability, and memorability, and flag names that sound close to existing brands. The free plan is listed at free and includes live availability checks, WHOIS and DNS lookups, bulk search, and an expiration monitor, with 10 AI generations per day. Paid passes provide access for set periods: the Day Pass costs 4.99 USD once for 24 hours, the Week Pass costs 9.99 USD once for 7 days, and the Pro Pass costs 19.99 USD once for 30 days. Pro includes unlimited generations, social handle checks and quality scores while active, and priority checks across 240+ extensions. The site links to domain registration providers including Hostinger, Namecheap, Cloudflare, GoDaddy, and Vercel. Saving a watchlist and receiving expiration alerts requires sign-in. Availability may change because of database delays, and users are responsible for independent trademark searches.
