In their own words
Narrator AR
Narrator AR is an augmented reality handwriting app for children aged 3–5. Children trace printed letters and numbers, then use a device camera to see their writing animated off the page. The app offers rocket or unicorn animations, with additional characters in Narrator AR PLUS 1. Its learning materials include ABC and number bundles, story pages, movement activities, and AR adventures. Children can create personalized names and words for free, and the maker describes simple controls, 3D illustrations, sounds, and self-directed AR experiences. The app works offline and has no ads or in-app purchases. The maker says it does not collect personal data through the app; access logs include the page, access time, and IP address. The app requires camera access, and the maker says not all Android devices support AR. Its technical notes say ARCore for Android is not currently available. The maker provides instructions, lesson plans, demos, activity programs, samples, and a resource library. A free app is listed, alongside Narrator AR PLUS 1 at $4.29, paid once.
