In their own words
Neon AI
Neon AI describes private expert AI systems built with local fine-tuned language models, interactive panels, and human participants. Its collaborative architecture lets human specialists and AI subminds converse in real time, with logic that can be audited and traced. BrainForge turns company documents into a knowledge network and lists Drive, GitHub, Slack, Notion, Dropbox, and SharePoint as sources. Supported content formats include PDF, CSV, Markdown, DOCX, and HTML. Neon says deployments can run on premises or in a private cloud, connect to existing CRMs, helpdesks, APIs, chat systems, and databases, and use long-term semantic memory refined through conversations and analytics. Its examples span internal operations and HR, sales and marketing, product and customer service, and clinical work. A Python SDK is free for non-commercial use under 1000 users; it includes Deep Speech for offline use and Google Speech when online. Neon lists Android, Linux, self-hosted, and web platforms, plus voice and generative AI capabilities. Broader pricing is on request. The company says it began in Bellevue, Washington, in 2000 as an internet research lab and software developer under the name NeonGecko.
Vapi
Vapi is a voice-call platform available on the web and iOS. It supports inbound and outbound calls, human handoff, concurrent calls, and custom phone numbers. The usage-based No Success Package is listed at free and includes $5 in starter credits, one Vapi phone number, four concurrent calls, and full platform access. Core costs $29 a month, billed monthly, and includes five phone numbers, 10 concurrent calls, 30 days of raw data retention, and email support. Pro costs $999 a month, billed monthly, and includes 10 phone numbers, 30 concurrent calls, 180 days of raw data retention, RBAC, ZDR, and a 99% uptime SLA. Premier uses custom pricing; its listed options include custom phone-number counts and custom RBAC, ZDR, and SSO, with dedicated SIP available. The service listing says there is no free plan, although the No Success Package is presented at no cost with starter credits. Plan allowances vary, so the listed overall concurrent-call figure of 10 is not the allowance for every package.
