| Deployment | The system has a browser-based interface and supports all-in-one, two-server, distributed, and high-availability deployment methods. | The site says deployment uses one scanner on a jump host and requires no endpoint agents or firewall changes; it also lists a self-hosted option. |
| Integrations | NetBrain supports MCP connections with external AI, observability, APM, and ITSM systems, and names Claude, GPT-4, Gemini, Splunk, ThousandEyes, BMC, ServiceNow, and Jira. | Named integrations and inputs include Xurrent, webhooks, Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, CloudWatch, ThreatFox, NVD, MSRC, and LOLBAS. |
| Product | NetBrain is an Agentic NetOps platform that pairs an AI agent team with network engineers and grounds agent decisions in live network context. | Tripl-i describes itself as an AI-native CMDB for automated IT discovery, service dependency mapping, and compliance. |
| Security controls | The R12 Security Guide describes audit logs, LDAP/AD and TACACS authentication, SSO, OAuth 2.0 for REST API access, and role-based privileges. | For agent automation, the site describes per-skill and per-role grants, runtime CI scope filters, approval gates for destructive commands, and audit and cost rollups. |
| Trial | NetBrain documentation says it offers a time-limited trial license; the page does not state the trial duration. | A full-access 30-day trial is offered with no credit card, and the site says users can cancel anytime and keep exported maps, tags, and reports. |

In their own words
NetBrain
NetBrain is an agentic network-operations platform for teams managing complex, multi-vendor networks. It uses live network context to help diagnose issues, assess risk, and manage changes across physical, virtual, cloud, and software-defined infrastructure. Its model includes device configuration, utilization, software versions, and topology; it maps Layer 2, Layer 3, overlay, and underlay networks and calculates paths across datacenter, WAN, and cloud. Named agents include Deep Diagnosis for root-cause analysis, Assessment for network checks, Change for governed runbooks, and Companion for everyday needs. NetBrain says agents read before writing and require user approval before execution. Runbook and intent-based automation support network operations. Connections include MCP, REST APIs, and webhooks, with named integrations such as ServiceNow, BigPanda, Dynatrace, Copilot, Gemini, and Claude. Its documentation describes role-based authentication, external authentication, password controls, and audit logs. The platform offers hybrid deployment and a time-limited trial license, but pricing is on request. NetBrain says it is not designed as a network-wide 24×7 monitoring solution and complements monitoring products.
