newnamer vs ZeroTaken

newnamer is a free web tool for generating domain-name ideas for apps, websites, businesses, products, and projects, then checking whether those domains appear available. You can lock keywords, set where they appear, exclude words, choose the number of words, and select styles such as alliteration, rhyme, or brandable ideas. Generated names use letters only; numbers, hyphens, and other symbols are excluded. The checker covers .com, .co.uk, .net, .io, .ai, .app, .dev, .co, .uk, and .org. Results can be liked or disliked, filtered into a shortlist, or expanded with more names while retaining earlier checks and preferences. Availability checks query public DNS-over-HTTPS services, using Google Public DNS first and Cloudflare if needed. This indicates discovery only, not registrar confirmation, and domains without active DNS can appear open. No account is required. The privacy policy says searched words and domains may be sent to DNS services; broad interactions may be tracked by Google Analytics without sending entered terms. Google AdSense uses cookies for advertising.

ZeroTaken generates brandable domain name ideas from a project description and checks whether candidate domains appear available. Its bulk search checks selected extensions concurrently and returns available or registered results. Domain scores consider length, pronounceability, brandability, and memorability, and flag names that sound close to existing brands. The free plan is listed at free and includes live availability checks, WHOIS and DNS lookups, bulk search, and an expiration monitor, with 10 AI generations per day. Paid passes provide access for set periods: the Day Pass costs 4.99 USD once for 24 hours, the Week Pass costs 9.99 USD once for 7 days, and the Pro Pass costs 19.99 USD once for 30 days. Pro includes unlimited generations, social handle checks and quality scores while active, and priority checks across 240+ extensions. The site links to domain registration providers including Hostinger, Namecheap, Cloudflare, GoDaddy, and Vercel. Saving a watchlist and receiving expiration alerts requires sign-in. Availability may change because of database delays, and users are responsible for independent trademark searches.
