Nibomo
Nibomo is a flashcard study app for web, iOS, and Android. Its FSRS spaced-repetition system schedules difficult cards sooner and familiar cards later, while AI can help create cards, improve their wording, and clarify answers. Studying on mobile works offline and syncs automatically. Users can import and export cards, tags, and related media, and AI agents can connect through MCP or the Agent API; the MCP server works with Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. The hosted app is free during beta, with no credit card requirement, trial countdown, or plan-based quotas on cards, files, or total storage, though technical limits still apply. AI features and sync are included during beta, but higher AI usage may later require a provider API key or paid option. The open-source stack can be self-hosted on AWS, with infrastructure and third-party provider costs paid by the operator. Hosted sign-in uses a one-time email code rather than a password. Nibomo is built by Kirill Markin and operated by SAMO DANNI EOOD in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Vaia
Vaia is a learning platform that brings study materials and learning tools together for school and university students. Learners can browse materials by subject, university, or textbook, then find community-created study sets or create their own. Flashcards support three learning modes. Vaia says its AI can generate personalized explanations, create flashcards from lecture slides, and give feedback on exam answers. A to-do list and calendar help users track study goals and exam dates. The platform also includes note templates, highlighting and annotation tools, unlimited new mock exams with instant feedback, and answers to questions from thousands of textbooks. Vaia is available on web, Android, and iOS, with mobile apps listed. It uses a freemium model and offers a Free account at free; the listed plan does not specify feature limits. Vaia is based in Munich, Germany. Its privacy policy names StudySmarter GmbH as the owner of vaia.com and describes technical and organizational measures to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
