In their own words
NINJA-IDE
NINJA-IDE is a free integrated development environment for creating applications, with tools for managing Python projects. The editor provides syntax highlighting, code completion, and help with imports and navigation. A code locator gives access to project files, functions, and classes, and documents can highlight static and PEP 8 errors. Users can manage files within the IDE, run a Python project or open file with one click, and render HTML files inside the application. Plugins can extend the editor and integrate functionality. The download page lists v2.4 installers for Windows 10/11 and Linux distributions; its macOS entry says the app is unavailable there and offers source code only. Listed requirements are Python 2.7 and PyQt 4.7 or later. The project describes the software as GPLv3+ and lists a mailing list and GitHub issues for questions and bug reports. The website says it is no longer run by the official authors.
TigerJython
TigerJython is a free Python development environment designed to teach programming. Its simple editor is aimed mainly at beginners, with teaching features including a repeat loop, Turtle graphics, and enhanced error messages. The IDE intentionally does not support projects or workspaces. Libraries cover graphics, game design, databases, and robotics, with devices including Lego EV3, Raspberry Pi, micro:bit, Calliope Mini, Callibot, and OxoCard. The downloadable IDE runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and includes a platform-specific Java runtime, so a separate JRE is not needed. WebTigerPython provides a browser-based option without installation, with Turtle graphics and a simple debugger. The IDE can optionally send anonymous error-message feedback; its product page says comments and strings are removed, and the setting is in advanced settings. The TJ Group maintains the product and supports computer science education in schools and teacher use of programming across subjects. The maker permits private and educational use free of charge unless a product states otherwise, and provides its products as is without warranties.
