Overview

Redo is a post-purchase suite for ecommerce merchants who want to bring returns and other after-checkout workflows under one roof. It is most compelling for eligible Shopify stores that want a free returns portal and genuinely free order editing, though the suite’s usage-based charges and limited support obligation matter before adoption.

Its scope runs from returns, exchanges and warranties to tracking, customer communication, claims, fulfilment, checkout optimization and revenue recovery. Redo says it serves more than 4,500 brands. That breadth can simplify a range of post-purchase tasks, but merchants should assess each service on its own pricing basis rather than assume the whole suite is one free product.

Redo’s terms require merchants to have a Shopify-enabled online store and a valid Shopify account. The service is cloud-based and may include apps, APIs and websites; listed platforms are API, iOS and web. That combination suits merchants working across integrations and web workflows, but the eligibility requirement rules out stores without Shopify.

Key features

Returns and exchanges: Redo combines a self-serve portal with exchange workflows, automated refunds, inspection workflows and warehouse routing. Its returns offer also includes real-time analytics, return-label cost coverage and return-specific AI agents. That is a broad returns workflow, with label coverage a concrete merchant benefit; stores should still distinguish this offer from the separate usage-priced services in the suite.
Order editing: Shopify shoppers can change variants, addresses, items or discount codes, or cancel an order. Redo charges no monthly fee or per-order fee for Order Editing and does not gate features, making it a straightforward fit when the goal is to let customers correct orders without adding a transaction charge.
Other post-purchase tools: Redo offers claims, shipping and fulfilment, warranties, tracking, upsells, checkout optimization, contextual marketing and revenue recovery. The plans range from free claim and warranty portals to per-order, per-session or recovered-revenue charges. This modular approach may suit a store that wants only selected functions, but costs depend on which workflows and usage levels it adopts.
Integrations: Listed connections include Shopify, BigCommerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud; Gorgias, Klaviyo and Recharge; Tapcart and Vajro; and FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL and Australia Post. The mix spans commerce, customer communication and shipping, which is useful for merchants already using those services.
Security: Redo states that it is SOC 2 compliant, undergoes annual independent audits and penetration tests, and encrypts data in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256. It says payment details are handled by third-party integrations and that it stores no card data of its own. These are meaningful safeguards for merchants handling customer workflows, although they do not change the Shopify eligibility or support terms.

Pricing

Redo is freemium, with a free plan and paid pricing from $0.40. Several named plans are free, but many charges are usage-based rather than simple monthly subscriptions. The published plan terms make it possible to identify billing units, but not to estimate a store’s total bill without its usage.

Free plans: Claims, Shipping & Fulfilment, Warranties and Returns are each priced at 0.00 USD per free. Claims includes a free claim portal, analytics, fraud detection and a choice of revenue-share or full-revenue options. Shipping & Fulfilment includes order management software, analytics and cash back on shipped orders. Warranties includes a claim portal, registration form, analytics and automated email capture. Returns includes the free portal, analytics, return-label cost coverage and return-specific AI agents. These suit merchants seeking these workflows without an upfront plan fee.
Email & SMS: 0.00 USD per month, billed per send, with add-to-cart email capability, an AI email and SMS builder, monthly AI personas and real-time analytics. The zero monthly price does not remove the per-send charge.
Contextual: 0.00 USD per month, billed per session. It includes anonymous visitor identity resolution, abandonment flows for Klaviyo, Attentive and Postscript, server-side events and Meta CAPI enrichment. The per-session basis is the key cost consideration.
One click upsell: 0.06 USD per month, billed per order, for product recommendations, continuous A/B testing, analytics and adding offers to the current order.
Order tracking: 0.08 USD per month, billed per tracked order, with 23 transactional triggers, a dedicated tracking page, tracked return shipments and analytics.
Checkout optimization: 0.40 USD per month, billed per order, including audience segmentation, continuous A/B testing, analytics and shipping-offer optimization. Of the stated per-order plans, it has the highest unit price.
Recover: 10.00 USD per month, billed as a percentage of recovered revenue. It includes a four-step recovery process and live human conversations, with payment tied to results. The percentage basis is important to weigh against the fixed-looking monthly figure.

Redo also offers a free trial. Order Editing is free without monthly fees, per-order charges or feature gates. There are no published seat quotas or trial-length terms to weigh against the usage charges.

Platforms

Redo supports API, iOS and web. It describes its service as cloud-based software that may include downloadable apps, APIs and websites, so its platform reach spans browser and integration-based use. Merchant access is restricted to stores with Shopify enabled and a valid Shopify account.

Who it's for

Redo is best suited to Shopify merchants who want several post-purchase workflows in one suite, especially those prioritizing returns, return-label coverage or no-fee order editing. Its separate plans can also suit stores that want a specific capability such as tracking or checkout optimization and can evaluate its per-order or per-session cost against their usage.

It is a weaker fit for merchants who cannot meet the Shopify requirement, want a single predictable price across all workflows, or expect an enforceable support commitment: Redo’s merchant terms say it has no obligation to provide technical or other support, though it may choose to do so under applicable policies.

Pros and cons

Pro: The returns offer combines a free portal, analytics, label-cost coverage and AI agents, while also supporting exchanges, refunds, inspections and warehouse routing.
Pro: Order Editing carries no monthly or per-order charge and has no feature gates, removing a pricing barrier for Shopify stores that want customer order changes.
Pro: Integrations span commerce platforms, carriers, marketing and customer-service tools, supporting several parts of the post-purchase operation.
Con: Merchant eligibility requires a Shopify-enabled store and valid account, excluding other ecommerce setups.
Con: Charges for several services depend on sends, sessions, orders or recovered revenue, so a zero monthly starting figure does not mean every workflow is cost-free.
Con: Redo disclaims an obligation to provide support, a notable risk for merchants relying on these workflows in customer-facing operations.

Verdict

Choose Redo if you run a Shopify-enabled store and want a broad post-purchase toolkit, particularly its free returns portal and no-fee order editing. Its strongest case is the combination of useful returns coverage with genuinely free editing; look elsewhere if you cannot meet Shopify eligibility, need committed technical support or prefer one predictable price over usage-based charges.
